Seaside Battery Energy Storage System

EC performed the construction of Seaside Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility in partnership with Portland General Electric. We installed each of the 244 BESS cubes, designed and supplied by BYD. This BESS will maintain a clean and reliable power supply during peak demand periods and provide flexible response to variable load requirements associated with increasing intermittent energy resources. The BESS installed capacity for the Seaside facility is 200MW for four hours for a total of 800MWH.
