PGE Integrated Operations Center

This state-of-the-art facility centralizes PGE’s mission critical operations which maintain the flow of power to customers. EC was hired as a design-assist partner and provided BIM level 400, allowing us to prefabricate approximately 40% of the project. We built out all electrical systems, controls, and security. The three-story base-isolated facility required design and construction of several redundant power configurations including battery, flywheel, and backup power generation for 14 days of emergency power capability. Utility power was brought in through flexible cabling that allows the building to float on its base through a 9.0 seismic event without losing power.
